Unity Care NW is a non-profit Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) with four locations in Whatcom County serving approximately 20,000 residents. Unity Care NW provides integrated care to anyone in need; this means primarily low income or those in poverty including homeless populations. Since 2008, UCNW’s patient population, more than a quarter of which resides outside Bellingham, has increased by 74%.
The North Whatcom Health Center will offer convenient, integrated health services to 9,500 north Whatcom County residents, while easing capacity issues at the Bellingham health center sites. The 23,000 square-foot health center is designed to provide “one-stop” care, with medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and lab services in location. It will be the largest behavioral health facility in Whatcom County outside of Bellingham.
